Travelling the canals of the Cuando River near Rivungo. Here the Cuando River is the accepted border with Zambia despite the fact that a very large area on the left bank of the river is still Angola territory. The MPLA established bases in this area which they called Angola Livre. From time to time helio-transported combat groups would operate in the area and destroy them. I participated in two of such operations.
